Mind The Map

Catalogue for Mind the Map, an exhibition that combines both the historical and the current. The exhibition shows work from contemporary artists who all work with maps. It is marking the Constitutional Jubilee for 1814. For the exhibition Punkt Ø has brought in historical maps together with the contemporary artworks, curated by Selene Wendt and The Global Art Project. The physical format of Mind the Map is directly connected with the theme of the exhibition. It is designed as a small guide with a map. The colour scheme is inspired by the colours of the Norwegian flag. Horizontal and vertical text, raster effects and icons, refer to the layout and design of maps. The fonts used are a classical serif combined with a very modern sans-serif, and give the design a sense of time and perspective.
